London Conference 2020 – Save the Date

The NECN London Regional Conference will take place on 8th October 2020.

Look out for #NECNLondon2020 on social media.

Local Leadership, COVID-19 and our Estates

This will be taking place online this year with a mix of speakers, panel and group discussions looking at the theme of:

  • Raising up local leaders on estates
  • How our churches have and can respond to COVID-19

NECN is privileged to have the Revd Dr Chigor Chike, Vicar of Emmanuel Church Forest Gate, Chair of the Anglican Minority Ethnic Network and interim National Advisor for Minority Ethnic Anglican concerns, as a keynote speaker.

Revd Chike said ‘I am looking forward to the Estate Churches Conference.  We know well how people respond to leadership that is diverse.  My hope is that, at the conference, we will explore how churches based in various estates, and indeed churches everywhere, can draw more people of BAME heritage into leadership roles.”

The Conference will also consider the effects of Covid 19 and lockdown on estates ministry, with an opportunity to hear from practitioners Revd Jonathon Macy and Bishop Simon Burton-Jones (Bishop of Tonbridge, Diocese of Rochester) as stories of hope and challenge are shared.
