Vacancies: Shelter Peer Mentors

Homelessness Charity

Shelter are now recruiting for 4 Peer Mentors within the Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Teams and the link to the advert can be found here. This is an exciting new partnership between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and Shelter which will see them supporting individuals in their transition from  secure care into the community. As a new initiative, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone who would like to shape and feed into the design of a service.

The essential criteria for the role is personal lived experience of accessing mental health and criminal justice services as a service user. Desirable criteria also includes homelessness and substance misuse.

They are holding a virtual drop in session with their team in the 16th November at 14:00 and this is open to anyone interested in the role as a chance to ask additional questions about the job and application process. Contact email address is included in the advert and invites can be sent to anyone who expresses an interest.

Please feel free to share this.
