Here’s more from our conference organiser, Revd Jonathan Macy:
It’s good to talk. So we did…
Back in October, Sara Barron (NECN Director), myself and a couple of other NECN Londonites met and began to discuss whether a conference would be a good idea, and if it was, what the theme of the day should be. As we talked, one thing came up again and again – “It is has been an exhausting 18 months under COVID. I need to think about my wellbeing.”
Many of us have poured ourselves out for our churches and estates and now feel empty and needing to be filled. This conference will think about the big picture of wellbeing with Canon Simon Butler, our spiritual wellbeing with Revd Steph Nadarajah, our families with Lucie Walsh (Clergy Family Network), plus the practical nuts and bolts of resources with the Clergy Support Trust and others.
We know it is good to talk, to listen, to be together, so come to NECN’s London Conference, meet with fellow estates’ workers, and be encouraged by the blessings our speakers and each other come with.
