Church Army’s Jayne Elliott writes to share more about their LEAD learning groups and details of some free taster sessions starting next week.
These are challenging times for those in the most marginalised and disadvantaged communities around the UK and Ireland; consequently the demands on those in Pioneer ministry has increased. That’s why we developed LEAD learning groups, the new leadership development offer from Church Army, to bring people together to reflect and learn. LEAD is for new and existing leaders who want to grow and develop themselves and others to transform their communities. Whether you’re leading a team, or wanting to develop other’s leadership. LEAD is designed for leaders who want to see transformation in their communities in faith shared in words and action. LEAD’s flexible suite of learning resources allow you to tailor your learning to your own unique context. There are five modules exploring – Leadership identity, vision & values, Healthy leadership to help sustain your passion for ministry, Leading teams, Collaborating with partners and Tools for developing others leadership.
LEAD learning groups are designed to be – Relational, Enabling, Accountable and Practical. You can sign up one module at a time or join our 18 month programme starting in autumn 2023.
Each topic requires 10 hours of engagement, including some short prep before learning groups. Meet with your LEAD learning group over 5 weeks to reflect on the weekly learning material and identify actions you are going to take.
