Find out more about two great Advent resources – ‘Unsettled Advent’ – a free, 4 week, small group Bible study and ‘Countdown to Christmas Hope’, a daily interactive Advent journey to share with friends.
Unsettled Advent
Andy Griffiths and Caroline Beckett of Chelmsford Diocese have written an Advent Bible study called ‘Unsettled Advent’, an accessible, four-week course for home groups and others who want to reflect together on the story of Elizabeth and Zechariah, and on what the future looks like for unsettled Christians at Christmas.
Through videos, discussion questions, and ‘apprentice pieces’ (challenges to work on between sessions), ‘Unsettled Advent’ helps us to admit our struggles, but also discover that God is in them – and maybe, by disorganising and reorganising us, showing us how to have good conversations and how to dare to lead, God will bring into being a new dawn.
The leaders notes include everything you will need to run the sessions including links to the videos and transcripts.
Countdown to Christmas Hope
‘Countdown to Christmas Hope’ is a new resource from Hope Together for church communities to pass on to friends as we have conversations about faith this Advent. It can be a great gift to invite others to explore faith and ask why Christmas gives us hope.
The journey takes you through things to read, think about, make and do; as well as an opportunity to connect and respond with a Facebook group.
