Grants for Individuals

The Smallwood Trust  is launching their ‘Cost of Living Fund‘ at the end of April 2022. There has been a large increase in women requesting support to help with rising costs, such as energy bills, fuel prices, food and basic essentials. Therefore, over the next few months the Smallwood Trust is going to focus on grants that help with these increasing costs.

Applications will need to be made by women referred to by the Smallwood Trust’s Cost of Living Fund partner organisations – a carefully selected group of charities and organisations based across the UK.

The Fund will support some of the women who are likely to be hardest hit by the rise in the cost of living:

  • Women living alone or with dependent children
  • Women with disabilities
  • Women with no recourse to public funds
  • Women who are or who have been affected by domestic violence or abuse.

Typical uses for the grant include:

  • Increase in household energy bills
  • Increase in cost of weekly food shop and essentials
  • Other increases to bills through daily living

Visit the Smallwood Trust website for full details of how to apply, the page will be updated prior to the launch of the grants.
